STRIKER
A platform built by football players, for football players. Started at ETH Zurich.
FOUNDED AT ETH ZURICH
Striker was founded by Tommaso Gazzini and Ignazio Adroge, two students at ETH Zurich. Like a lot of people who move to a new city, they wanted to play football. Not professionally, not for a club — just regular pickup games with good people.
They started organizing games themselves. Sign-ups, payments, keeping a group together week to week. That experience showed them exactly what was broken.
WHY STRIKER EXISTS
Organizing pickup football through WhatsApp is a mess. Players confirm, then cancel at the last minute. Someone has to collect cash for the pitch. When the regular group is short, you put out a message and hope. Every organizer knows how that goes.
Tracking who's coming, who's paid, whether there are enough for two teams — it turns something you do for fun into a second job. And for players who aren't already in a group chat, finding a game was nearly impossible.
Tommaso and Ignazio built a solution for themselves first. Then they realized other organizers faced the same problems. Striker grew from there.

Post a match, set the number of spots, handle payments, message players — all in one place.
Players can find games in their city without needing to know the right person first.
Good games happen more reliably. Last-minute cancellations happen less often. That's the job.
FOOTBALL BRINGS PEOPLE TOGETHER
The players who show up to Striker games come from very different places: engineers, entrepreneurs, students, professionals from all over the world.
On the pitch, none of that matters. A close game, a good goal, a conversation after — this is why people play. That's what we're trying to make easier to find.
BUILT WITH ELYSIUM
Striker was built with Elysium Sàrl, a Geneva-based Swiss software company. They've been building digital products for over 20 years, which gave Striker a more serious technical foundation than most early-stage apps get.
Striker is active across Switzerland today, with more cities coming.
